Rajamahendravaram: TDP leaders conducted a cycle yatra in first and second divisions here on Friday, to bring awareness among the people on Special Category Status (SCS). A large number of the party cadres participated.

Speaking on the occasion, Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna alleged that the BJP government was trying to create problems in the state and to tarnish the image of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

After TDP’s exit from NDA, the Central government led by BJP was bent on taking revenge on TDP, he accused. The people were well aware of BJP’s performance during the last four years. They would teach a lesson to the party in the ensuing elections. The BJP cheated the people and are now making allegations on Naidu in various aspects, he added.

MLC Adireddy Appa Rao said, “The BJP leaders cannot do anything in the state and they are not having enough strength in the state. But, some leaders are issuing baseless statements against TDP government, which is not correct on their part.”
He advised the BJP leaders to mend their attitude or the people would mend them, he added.

Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai said the BJP government had failed to fulfill the promises given in AP Bifurcation Act and now involved in mudslinging against state government to get political mileage. But, the people were more intelligent than politicians and they know how to judge, she said.
