Vijayawada: Youth Empowering Service –Jesuits (YESJ) director Fr Bala Bollineni, has said his organisation is extending service to young people of all sections, especially the disadvantaged and school dropouts aged between 15 and 25 years. Food and accommodation will be provided to all the students free of cost.

He said they had been supporting the youth through vocational training courses, communication in English and coaching in personal and social skills. The two-year-old organisation was conducting ‘Summer Shapes’ programme for the third time. The summer camp includes English Crash Course for 75 students studying Intermediate from Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions (APSWREI) and 75 other students of rural youth.

About six faculty members had been engaged to train the students, he added.R Kousalya, first year Intermediate student from Guntur, thanked Fr Bala for giving an opportunity to join the coaching camp. She said after joining the summer camp at YESJ, she learned to speak English without grammatical mistakes and learned communication skills. She said that it was a great learning experience after joining YESJ.

K Bhagavan, faculty said that they have a systematic training programme on teaching communication skills and English. Even the students were showing interest in learning English as it was a must for getting jobs in the future, he added.
