Roundtable on SCS flays TDP, BJP
Leaders of various political parties have demanded that the Central government accord Special Category Status (SCS) to the state.The parties also wanted the government to initiate steps to stop atrocities on SC/STs, minorities and women in the country. BJP and TDP were playing dual role on SCs, they criticised.

Participating in a roundtable on SCS, Rastriya Praja Congress (RPC) founder Meda Srinivas has said that the BJP was the main accused and cheated the people for four years by luring them with the SCS. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu who opposed the SCS for four years had suddenly took U-turn and now demanding for the SCS
to misguide the people again.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu now asking people to support him in SCS agitations to get political mileage and with an intension to come into power again in the guise of SCS, he explained.
The people should teach a lesson to both TDP and BJP in the ensuing elections. Meanwhile, the BJP government was trying to dilute SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act with the help of Supreme Court which should be condemned by all, he added.
CPI secretary Nalla Rama Rao, expressing concern over the increasing atrocities on women, said it was the duty of the government to initiate steps to stop the atrocities on women and children.
Relating to SCS, both TDP and BJP cheated the people during the last four years and now trying to convince the people in various ways. But the people were not in a position to believe the, he added.Bharata Jayeetavadula Sangham leaders K Rajendra, K Uday Kumar and others were present.
