MSN Charities Aastula Parirakshana Samiti (Malladi Satyalingam Naicker Charities Properies protection Committee) at its meeting organised here on Sunday, demanded that the government protect properties donated by the philanthropist Malladi Satyalingam Naicker. Known as non-literate Naicker, the businessman, donated huge amount in the year 1916 for the promotion of education to poor.
Kakinada: MSN Charities Aastula Parirakshana Samiti (Malladi Satyalingam Naicker Charities Properies protection Committee) at its meeting organised here on Sunday, demanded that the government protect properties donated by the philanthropist Malladi Satyalingam Naicker. Known as non-literate Naicker, the businessman, donated huge amount in the year 1916 for the promotion of education to poor.
The properties of the charities include more than 1,000 acres of agriculture land, MSN Educational Institutions buildings and Veda Pathasala. Addressing the Samiti meet on Sunday, convener P Adinarayana said that the charities under endowments department had been running without a regular executive officer.
Because of lack of this facility, the day to day administration was being affected. He also said that some politicians also keeping their eyes on these endowment properties worth crores of rupees. He said that the instructions had provided free education to thousands of students since their inception.
He also said that though they had been representing the issue to post regular EO, no action has been taken so far. Instead, the in-charge system had been continued.
The Samiti decided to meet again on June 3, to discuss future course of action for protection of properties of MSN charities from encroachments and grabbing.
Those who attended the meeting were Palivela Veera Babu, Nalam Andal, Malladi Raju, Addanki Venkanna Babu, Nallam Srinivas and others.
