People are advised to stay indoors from 8 am to 5 pm as the heat may prove fatal during these days. The sun will be aggressive and the possibility of sunstroke looms large over the state during these hours.

The people need to take care of themselves, if they have any urgent work to attend outdoor and exposed to sun. Doctors say drinking excessive water and buttermilk helps them to beat the heat. Consumption of tender coconut water and fruit juices will also reduce the possibility of one falling prey to the sunstroke.

They should cover face and head with scarves, towels and other cloths to avoid exposure to hot sun. Wearing loose cotton clothes and using umbrella while moving outside lessen the possibility of sunstroke. Drinking lot of water will help in fighting dehydration.

Doctors are also advising people to wear cooling glasses and use caps to cover eyes and head.The impact of sultry weather has been forcing people to change their schedules either to morning hours or in the evening. The roads are giving a deserted look during midday.

According to officials, the intensity of heat is severe during Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This kind of hot summer was unprecedented, they warn.The district administration convened a meeting to review the weather changes the other day.
