Savitri’s daughter happy over portrayal of ‘Mahanati’

Vijayawada: Vijaya Chamundeswari, daughter of veteran actor of yesteryears Savitri, movie producer Ashwini Dutt, MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad and others watched the movie ‘Mahanati’ at Capital Cinemas here on Wednesday.

Chamundeswari felt emotional while addressing the media. She said that the producer and the director portrayed her mother Savitri in the movie exactly as promised before commencing the shooting.

She expressed her happiness and thanked the entire film unit for characterising Mahanati true story. She said that it was like a festival and celebration after watching the movie.

She appreciated Samantha, Keerthi Suresh, and Vijay Devarakonda for their excellent performance in the movie. She said that the entire team had taken it as a challenge.
She said that minute things like walking, eating and other silly mannerisms, eye wink were taken care while shooting, she said and added that she visited the sets regularly while the file shooting was on. She said while watching the movie, she felt that she was seeing her mother Savitri.

Producer Aswini Dutt said that the great soul of Savitri had led the entire movie forward which made the movie a big success. He said that while he was on the sets he recollected all the great actors NTR, ANR, Shoban Babu, director Nagi Reddy and others.
