Collector reviews roads maintenance
East Godavari District Collector Kartikeya Mishra directed the R & B authorities to initiate measures for better road maintenance in the district. Making a special mention of NH 216, from Kathipudi to Ongole, the Collector directed the authorities to give top priority for quality maintenance in East Godavari area between Kathipudi and Rajole limits in the distract.
He also asked the concerned officials to expedite the flyover construction works in the vicinity of the district.The Collector also directed the authorities to arrange for lighting on bypass road of NH 216.
He reviewed the road works taken up by Panchayat Raj at various places in the district.
He dwelt on the construction of third bridge on salt creek connecting Jagannaikpur to the main city at a cost of Rs 116 crore.
He directed the R and B authorities to be in touch with Kakinada Municipal Corporation and Kakinada Smart City authorities.R & B Superintending Engineer and other officials attended the review meeting.
