Bid to kidnap baby girl foiled by mother
The people at Kondapi and surrounding areas are gripped in fear of thieves and kidnappers for a while. The bid to kidnap a baby in Mittapalli village in the Kondapi mandal on Tuesday night ignited the fear much.

According to the locals, they were observing the movements of new people in the village for a week and they also complained to the police about their movements. On Tuesday night, two people entered the house of Rajani, a resident of Malapalli in Mittapalli village and used chloroform to silent the one and half-year-old girl Kanyasri.
Before they leave the house, the baby’s mother Rajani came out from the bathroom and raised alarm to the neighbors by shouting loud. She also sprayed chilli powder on the two people while struggling to grab her child from them.
Unable to withstand the effect of chilli powder, they threw the child away and left the place on motorcycle before the locals gather to catch them.A local person, S Chandrasekhar reached the spot and enquired about the incident. He assured to step up vigil in the area according to the demand of locals.
