Guntur: AP Minorities Finance Corporation chairman Md Hidayat said that the State government is providing free education to the minorities on par with the corporate educational institutions. He said that there are three minority Gurukula Colleges and Gurukula Schools in the district.

Addressing a press meet held in Guntur city on Wednesday, he said that these educational institutions are issuing applications for admissions. Those who are interested may submit applications for admissions before May 25. He appealed to the eligible to avail the facility provided by the government.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu gave permissions to start 19 more residential schools for minorities. The necessary facilities will be provided to the students in the schools and free uniform will be given to the students in addition to the lesson to be taught in Urdu and English medium, he added 110 seats are available to the students at the ARJC College in the city.

The government is trying to increase literacy rate among the minorities and conducting campaign to that effect. He urged the minority students to avail the facility provided by the government.
