TDP working for BC welfare
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLC Adireddy Appa Rao said that the TDP Government executed many schemes for the welfare of BC community since its inception in the State and it is the saviour of BCs.
Rajamahendravaram: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLC Adireddy Appa Rao said that the TDP Government executed many schemes for the welfare of BC community since its inception in the State and it is the saviour of BCs.
Speaking at a meet here on Thursday, he said the TDP Government has introduced 'Adarana' scheme for the welfare of the BCs in the State and many were benefited with the scheme. But, the erstwhile Congress government set aside Adarana scheme in 2014 and hampered the growth of BCs. In 2014, the TDP again revived the scheme to help the BCs.
An expo on Adarana scheme be held today on the premises of the government college premises along with an awareness programme. He appealed to all the BCs in the district to participate in the programme and avail it judiciously.
The government is spending crores of rupees on the BC students for their higher education and on other activities.
The Government is constructing buildings for the BC hostels in the state. Minister for BC Welfare K A Naidu will inaugurate BC hostel and lay a foundation stone to new BC hostel buildings in the city, he added.
