Name Krishna district after Ranga
Transgender Tamanna Simhadri said that if at all the name of Krishna district has to be changed it should be christened as Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga district. Addressing the media persons here on Friday, she found fault with YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy for announcing the name of NTR district ignoring Ranga.
Vijayawada: Transgender Tamanna Simhadri said that if at all the name of Krishna district has to be changed it should be christened as Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga district. Addressing the media persons here on Friday, she found fault with YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy for announcing the name of NTR district ignoring Ranga.
She said that Ranga was people's man and had extended helping hand to many downtrodden, backward classes and minority community people. She suggested if they are interested to give importance to former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, they can christen the name of the State as NTR state.
She strongly condemned the proposals to change Krishna District name as NTR. She recalled that she has participated in the Silent Protest for ten days and has come in front of the media to express her opinion on the name change. She further demanded that YSRCP chief Jagan should tender apology for proposing NTR and ignoring VM Ranga.
She said that she would raise her voice further if there was no response from the government.
