Guntur: Akhila Bharat Vidyarthi Parishad state assistant secretary Jupalli Venkatesh Kumar, alleged that the government is encouraging private and minority educational institutions and diluting the government and aided educational institutions.

Addressing a press meet held in Guntur city on Friday, he said that the government exempted minority and private educational institutions from online admissions.

He said that private degree colleges are running only for fee reimbursement and the government is not implementing the online admission system for private degree colleges. He wondered as to what is the need to implement the online admission system for government and aided educational institutions.

Expressing concern over the future of the government and aided institutions, he said that if the admissions fall, the government will close the government and aided degree colleges in the state. He said that is why the government introduced the online admission system for government and aided education institutions.

He demanded the government to drop the move to close the government and aided institutions.
