Guntur: Delegates from Toyama University and Toyama Prefectural Government, Japan visited the Acharya Nagarjuna University here on Tuesday.

Prof Shinohara, Dean, International Education and Exchange, University of Toyama, Prof Ogino, Director of Toyama Prefectural Government, Japan visited several biological sciences departments and interacted with the faculty members on various proposals. The team members expressed satisfaction over the infrastructural facilities, laboratories and equipment.

Earlier, Vice-Chancellor of ANU Prof A Rajendra Prasad and Registrar, ANU Prof K John Paul welcomed the Japanese team and honoured them. Prof GVSR Anajaneyulu, director of international students cell, ANU organised this programme.
Principals of various colleges on the campus and several faculty members participated in the meeting.

The Japanese team expressed its consent to enter into an MoU with ANU very soon.The team appreciated ANU and Andhra Pradesh for developing cordial relations between Japan and AP.
