geethaHyderabad: State Major Industries Minister Geeta Reddy on Monday reiterated that the government would take back the allotted lands from industries which failed to start operations in a stipulated time. Speaking to newsmen on the sidelines of participating in a programme at AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) office, she said 1073 notices have been served to the companies which left the lands un-utilised. Stating that the APIIC had already initiated action towards taking the lands from the companies, the Minister said about 2,947 acres of land have already been retrieved from the industries in 67 cases. Geeta also said that special industrial zone for women would be established in all districts to promote women entrepreneurs this year. Hugh subsidies would also be provided to the budding women industrialists depending on the project viability, she added.
