Hyderabad: The family of eight months old baby Sragvi was elated as police solved the kidnap case and reunited the baby with her family on Wednesday. Police arrested Ravula Bharath, a friend of Sragvi's parents for his involvement in the offence. Sragvi's family, particularly her mother Sujana said they were delighted to get the girl back home safe and they were not interested to know why she was kidnapped and what action should be taken against the culprit. It may be recalled 8-month-old Sragvi was whisked away allegedly by motorcycle-borne miscreants on the evening of April 6 when her mother was returning home from hospital along with the baby l. City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma told media persons that Bharath was in depression after his wife divorced him since the couple was childless. Bharath kidnapped Sragvi since he knew the girl's family. Anurag Sharma could not explain why Bharath resorted to kidnap and that too Sragvi. Explaining the reason for the announcement of the arrest in a hurry, he said the baby's family was in agony because of Sragvi's kidnap and the police wanted to bring relief by reuniting the child with the family in view of Ugadi festival.
