chiranjeeviHyderabad: Union Minister of State for Tourism K Chiranjeevi himself had to intervene to get his son K Ram Charan Teja out of trouble after the latter and his bodyguards thrashed two software engineers on Sunday. Ram Charan and his bodyguards roughed up software engineers Phanish of Kondapur and Kalyan of Uppal for not moving their car while there was a red signal near GVK Mall. The victims approached Banjara Hills police to lodge a complaint against Ram Charan and his bodyguards but later opted not to lodge a case after Chiranjeevi himself offered an apology besides Ram Charan Teja. Since the veteran film star and Union Minister himself stepped in and offered an apology, the victims decided to forget the bitter experience and forgive Ram Charan, sources said. Top placed sources also informed that police officials were helpful in responding to the incident on Sunday. However, it is said that the victims were kept waiting by the Banjara Hills Inspector P Murali Krishna and Assistant Commissioner of Police E Shankar Reddy.
