Moots stringent measures to curb obscenity in films Telugu people are respected all over the world for their culture, attire and traditions. But that is not portrayed well in our movies arunaHyderabad: Minister for Information and Public Relations D K Aruna has taken a dig at Tollywood stating that most of the films lack nativity and sense. Addressing at the Nandi awards presentation function on Thursday she said, "Telugu people are respected all over the world for their culture, attire and traditions. But that is not portrayed well in our movies. Obscenity, lack of dressing sense mars our rich traditions. This should stop. We have been contemplating to bring stringent measures to curb these unhealthy practices." Lambasting that most of the Telugu movies either have English or other language names, she said, "Why don't you think a little and give a Telugu name to your film. When the government has been promoting Telugu culture in a big way, why don't you support it? I request you to give Telugu names to your movies at least hereafter," urged Aruna. Announcing that the government has been working out a plan to construct houses for all the workers in Telugu film industry, Aruna lauded their efforts to strengthen the Telugu Industry in Hyderabad.
