Memorandum to be submitted to Digvijay Singh

ganta sreinivas raoHyderabad : The Seemandhra leaders who are opposed to the bifurcation of the State have decided to meet in Hyderabad on June 28 under the leadership of Infrastructure Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao. After the meeting, these leaders will meet the AICC general secretary incharge of the state affairs Digvijay Singh and present their case. They will also submit a memorandum to him.

Rao said that he was in touch with all the leaders including ministers and MLAs in the State who are opposed to a separate for Telangana and would do everything at their command to stall the division of the State. He felt that the party high command would not resort to any such action but in case if there was any such move, they would oppose it tooth and nail. "Division is not the wish of the people any region,"

he told reporters on Wednesday. He said that while the party high command was trying to find a solution to the problem, he was sure that there would be no bifurcation of the State. If necessary, he said the integrationists will go to New Delhi and plead their case with the high command.Dokka Manikya Varaprasad, who was not willing to comment on the issue, said that the party knows what was good for all regions.

Former minister D L Ravindra Reddy in Kadapa said that he too would abide by the party decision. Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy, who was also with Ravindra Reddy in Kadapa at a government programme, said that the matter was left to the wisdom of the high command. However, he said that the speculation of division of Rayalaseema was a media creation.
