Tirumala: Yesteryear heroine Jayaprada celebrated her 53rd birthday here on Wednesday and announced that she would be soon seen in the State politics. However, she would announce the name of the party she was going to join by the end of the month. "It is my aim to serve people throughout my life," she added.
Talking to media persons atop Tirumala, she said that she would feel lucky if she was allotted Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat. She made it clear that she would contest the elections for the Lok Sabha only. Stating that the State was facing several problems, she said that leaders like NTR and Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy were needed today.
Referring to her expulsion from the Samajvadi Party, she said that it was a curse for her to get elected from Rampur parliamentary constituency. She said that she treated Mulayam Singh as fatherly figure. "Anyway, I am happy that I was expelled from the party," she added.
