Sangareddy (Medak): Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal instructed the officials here on Wednesday to strive to prepare voter identity cards without mistakes.A He visited the training programme of district election officers (DEOs), election regional officers (EROs), Assistant EROs Assembly-level master trainers at the Collectorate. Addressing the trainees, Bhanwarlal said that the officiers need to build confidence among the voters while accepting the applications of various types to prepare voter ID cards.

The applications should be processed as per the time-frame suggested by the chief election commission, he said and warned of severe action if they did not stick to time schedule. The applications received online should also be solved immediately, he said.

The CEO told the officials to process Forms 6, 7 and 8 by May 15 and give printouts to the booth-level officers (BLOs) to check door-to-door to get corrections if any in the applications. District Collector A Dinkar Babu told the DEOs, EROs that BLOs should be sufficiently trained by the first week of May. "Any mistakes in the voter ID cards would result in serious problems in the forthcoming elections to the local bodies," he warned.

Joint Collector Dr A Sarath, Additional Joint Collector BNVVN Murthy, District Revenue Officer I Prakash Kumar were present. Medak Sub Collector Bharati Holikeri through a power point presentation instructed the trainees regarding election procedure, preparation of ID cards and other issues.
