babu2Eluru: Telugu Desam president and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu said here on Tuesday that at least one person from each family should join politics to promote value-based and ethical politics in the State. Addressing a public meeting in Chandravaram village in Chagallu mandal of West Godavari district during his Vastunna Meekosam padayatra, he said Telugu Desam was the only party, which stood for ethical values in politics while Congress and its offshoots were indulging in corruption and looting of the public resources. Chandrababu Naidu called on the Telugu Desam leaders and workers to treat the next one year as emergency period and work for the party. A He said leaders should shed their ego and co-ordinate their activities with the workers and other leaders. Chandrababu Naidu became emotional when the district party president Garikapati Ramamohan Rao said that while Chandrababu was undertaking arduous task of padayatra, his wife Bhuvaneswari was sacrificing by coming to padayatra every Saturday and Sunday to look after his health and successfully running the business of Heritage Foods on weekdays. His son Lokesh and daughter-in-law were sacrificing their pleasure for the sake of the party, he added. Earlier, Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the situation in Polavaram constituency with the leaders and workers who came from there. He said he would appoint in-charges for booth committees and area committees shortly. A Telugu Desam senior leader Maganti Babu also participated in the yatra.
