Woman attacked over property dispute

Kurnool: Padma Harini of Lakshmi Nagar in the city was brutally attacked with knives after throwing chilli powder in her eyes.A According to her husband Madhusudan Rao, his younger brother Madhava Rao, and his uncle B Lakshmi Narasaiah, Chowdary and another person indulged in this heinous act.

He said that the accused were demanding partition of the property and threatened with dire consequences if he refused.A He lodged a complaint with the police against them but the police did not take any action, he alleged.

Now, the accused attacked his wife and injured her grievously inflicting severe injuries all over body, he lamented. Property disputes were said to be the reasons behind the attack.

The victim's condition is said to be critical.
