Hyderabad: With Integrationists making Hyderabad a bone of contention, the Telangana JAC has resolved to organize Sadbhavana rallies in entire region including the state capital from July 10 onwards. T JAC is hoping to sensitize the public about Hyderabad, and its four hundred year old history through this exercise.Telangana JAC held its extended steering committee meeting here on Wednesday and debated for five hours about the present situation in State, actions of Seemandhra leaders and government employees and other related issues.
Later talking to reporters here, T JAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram appealed to the Union Government to introduce the separate state bill in the ongoing monsoon session of the parliament. He also sought the union cabinet to take a decision to this effect in the proposed meeting on Thursday. Kodandaram was highly critical of politicians and employees of Seemandhra region for conspiring to obstruct the process of formation of Telangana after remaining silent until CWC adopted a resolution for creation of 29th State.
T JAC was of unanimous opinion that Chief Minister was behind the ongoing agitations by Seemandhra government employees. Members even expressed their ire on DGP for his lenient stand towards Saimakyandhra agitators who vandalized statues and resorted to attacks on properties at will. Kodandaram demanded replacing the present DGP with a non-state cadre DGP immediately. T JAC stressed on the need for Congress and TDP leaders of the region to voice their opinions regularly in view of the conspiracies by their counterparts from the other two regions.
The steering committee meet also condemned allegations of ploy to eliminate TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.
It also gave a call for boycotting a Telugu news channel for going out of the way in highlighting Seemandhra agitations so that Telangana process gets stalled. Besides urging politicians not to participate in discussions, it appealed to the cable operators to delink the particular channel in Telangana districts.
