Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress leaders have decided to meet the AICC president Sonia Gandhi and lodge a complaint against the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for the comments he had made in regard to the repercussions of bifurcation of the state at a press conference on Thursday.

The Telangana leaders will meet here on Sunday to finalise their action plan, former minister Md Shabbir Ali said. He alleged that the Chief Minister was trying to stall the process of separate Telangana. On the other hand, Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy alleged that Seemandhra leaders were once again trying to scuttle the move to divide the state. They are making allout efforts in New Delhi, he said at a press conference at Congress Legislature party here on Saturday.

Lashing out at Seemandhra leaders, he said these leaders who had exploited resources of the region were raising objections only to protect their properties in Hyderabad. He further said that the proposal being mooted by some of the Seemandhra leaders that Hyderabad be made permanent joint capital of both the states was not acceptable to them. Congress MLCs KR Amos and K Yadava Reddy urged the party high command to introduce the bill on Telangana during the ongoing monsoon session of the Parliament.
