Hyderabad: YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan continued his indefinite fast in the Chenchalguda jail on day two on Monday demanding that the Centre revoke its “unilateral” decision to bifurcate the state. Jagan refused the plea by jail officials to call off the fast. According to a health bulletin released by the Jail authorities, Jagan’s health condition was stable. His blood pressure (BP), pulse rate and sugar levels in the blood were said to be normal.
He was under medical examination. Doctors have been specially deputed to check the health status of Jagan round-the-clock. Jail officials say that Jagan had not taken any food. He has been only drinking water. Despite his indefinite fast, he appeared before the Judge through video conference clad in a blue shirt and a trouser.
During the trial, he had a glass of water. Security near the jail has been beefed and no one was being allowed to meet him. The party MLA Praveen Kumar Reddy had made an attempt to meet Sunil Reddy another accused in the illegal assets case who also happens to be his distant cousin. But the Jail authorities refused Mulakat.
