Naidu’s fast in Delhi from 7th. As part of the move to mobilize support of national parties to the demand for addressing the concerns being voiced by the Seemandhra people well before bifurcation of the state, the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu decided to launch an indefinite fast in New Delhi from October 7.

As part of the move to mobilize support of national parties to the demand for addressing the concerns being voiced by the Seemandhra people well before bifurcation of the state, the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu decided to launch an indefinite fast in New Delhi from October 7. Naidu will be flanked by the party leaders from both Seemandhra as well as Telangana during his fast at the protest camp.

Naidu had thorough discussion with the leaders of the TDP Telangana Forum before making the announcement. He had a three-hour-long meeting with them. He was understood to have assured them sufficiently that his protest would not be against formation of the new state, but the way the Union Cabinet preferred to go ahead with T note approval without paying any heed to pleas of the Seemandhra people.

Telangana too would have problems after formation of the new state. The TDP leaders from Telangana leaders assured Naidu that they would not have any objection to support the fast since it was meant to demand justice for Seemandhra region and not to oppose Telangana.
