The much-awaited news of the resignations of the Seemandhra union ministers was finally out on Monday evening.

It's worth mentioning here that tourism minister K Chiranjeevi along with the others have been facing a lot of flak ever since the Congress High Command's decision of Telangana was announced.
The pro-Seemandhra activists were seething with rage over the ministers' inability to take a tough stand over the issue. If there was one person who was most affected by this, it was none other than actor-turned-politician K Chiranjeevi. The angry activists vent their anger on the mega star's son Ram Charan by boycotting his movie.
The screening of Charan's Toofan was stopped in several places to teach Chiranjeevi a lesson.
But now with his resignation to the Prime minister yesterday, it's a huge relief for many who had expected Chiranjeevi would play hero in real life too.
The other ministers who submitted their resignations to Prime Minister Manmohan singh are HRD minister M.M. Pallam Raju, minister of state for commerce D. Purandeswari and minister of state for Railways Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy.
Speaking to the media after coming out of the PM's residence on Race Course road, Purandeswari said that the ministers had asked the PM to accept their resignations immediately and that they would not attend to their duties from Tuesday.
She also iterated that the four ministers were not against the High Command but resigned keeping in mind the best interests of Andhra people.
