Addressing the media, the senior TDP leader said that it was painful to note that the TRS leaders that Sonia Gandhi, a foreigner, has agreed to form Telangana which was not given by Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. “If those stalwarts were not there, the Congress party would not be in vogue,” he added.
Pattikonda MLA KE Prabhakar, district party president Somisetty Venkateswarlu, Adoni MLA Meenakshi Naidu, Nandikotkuru segment in-charge Victor, Allagadda segment in-charge Irigela Ramapulla Reddy, former MLC Masala Padmaja, Kodurumuru segment in-charge Guduru Prabhakar, Srisailam in-charge Shila Chakrapani Reddy and others were present.
Referring to the decision to divide the state, the Dhone MLA said that Kurnool district would be worst hit if the state was divided. Even the Group of Ministers was also silent over the injustice to Kurnool district, he added.
“The Congress party high command should clarify how they are going to compensate to Kurnool district if the division was inevitable,” he remarked.
Demanding withdrawal of the decision to divide the State, he warned that the Congress would face the wrath of the people of Rayalaseema if they go ahead with the division.
He wondered as to why YSR Congress party was calling its Hyderabad meeting as Samaikya Shankharavam when it would contest only 175 seats in the state.
He questioned the propriety of Governor Narasimhan for according appointment to Jaganmohan Reddy twice when he the latter was accused in 12 criminal cases. Stating that there was hardly any difference between Dawood Ibrahim and Jaganmohan Reddy, the TDP leader wondered as to whether the Governor would give appointment to Dawood Ibrahim if started a political party.
Referring to the demand by YSR Congress leader Sobha Nagi Reddy that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu should give a letter to the Central government in support of united Andhra Pradesh, he said that the YSR Congress party should give such letter first.
