The Secretariat employees from Seemandhra districts were sanctioned one month salary as special advance against their strike period. They struck work for 38 days protesting against the move to bifurcate the state.
The government has made applicable to the Secretariat employees from Seemandhra all the guidelines that were followed while addressing the salary related issues of the Telangana employees when they struck work for 41 days as part of the Sakala Janula Samme.
The government issued GO No. 292 as part of agreement entered between the State government and Secretariat Seemandhra Employees Forum on October 11, 2013. The government accepted the demand for special advance to those employees, who have joined duty on or before October 11, 2013, subject to a maximum of one month’s salary to be recovered as decided by the government. The amount of Special Advance to be sanctioned as above would be recovered in one lump sum from the individual employee’s salary after adjustment of leave for the strike period. The employee who would like to avail one month advance will have to submit an application individually. The expenditure on payment of advance under this Order would be debited to the following Head of Account 7610-Loans to Government Servants. The government orders are applicable to all the gazetted and non-gazetted officers of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat employees only. SERF secretary K V Krishnaiah said that the salary advance would be deducted after adjusting earned leave of the employees.
