APNGOs’ Association president P Ashok Babu on Friday said that the organisation would soon meet President Pranab Mukherjee and urge him to stall the official bifurcation process till the demands raised by Seemandhra employees were met.
Addressing the press here, he said the employees would hold protest rallies at all mandal and district headquarters on Saturday. They would organise highway blockade (on October 27), relay hunger strikes (October 28), motor-bike rallies (October 29), human chain (October 30), lunch-hour demonstration ( October 31) and public meetings on November 1. Farmers’ deekshas would be organised from November 2 to 4.
The employees would stage demonstrations in front of their respective offices on November 5. Exuding confidence that the State would remain united, Ashok said the association would support any political party fighting against the division of State. He said the united Andhra movement would be strengthened further in the coming days.
