Govt Would Help Rain-Hit Farmers: Ministers, Minister for Panchayat Raj Kunduru Jana Reddy. He along with Minister for Revenue Raghuveera Reddy, MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy, DCC president Tudi Devendar Reddy toured the rain-affected areas in the district on Sunday.
Minister for Panchayat Raj Kunduru Jana Reddy said here on Sunday that the government would help by all means the farmers who suffered heavy loss due to the heavy rain last week.
He along with Minister for Revenue Raghuveera Reddy, MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy, DCC president Tudi Devendar Reddy toured the rain-affected areas in the district on Sunday.
Jana Reddy said that the cotton and paddy farmers would be compensated for the loss and ex gratia would be paid to the families of people who died in rain-related incidents.
The minister said that the government would give Rs. 10,000 per hectare to the farmers who lost their crop and the necessary steps would be taken to remove sand laden in the fields. “Houses would be constructed for the people who lost their houses and repairs to the roads and culverts would be undertaken,” he added. He said that that it was not proper to politicise the natural calamity.
Revenue Minister Raghuveera Reddy said that an action plan had been formulated to help the cotton and paddy farmers in 470 mandals in the state. When asked about the agriculture motors belonging to Girijans washed away in the flashfloods, the minister said that they would be compensated.

Irigi Peddulu, Raghava Reddy, Krishna Reddy, Mutyalu, Rajaramesh yadav, Tahsildar Parvata Reddy, MPDO Sharma and others were present.
