Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee on Thursday observed the 29th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana, Ministers K Jana Reddy and Dokka Manikya Varaprasad Rao, former PCC president D Srinivas, Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao and Chairman of the Legislative Council A Chakrapani paid tributes to Indira Gandhi. On the day they recalled her great qualities and the services she had rendered to the nation.
They also recalled the life and saga of 'Iron Man of India' Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Later addressing media, Botcha welcomed the decision of the Centre to convene an all-party meeting on Telangana. He said the party had received the letter from the Union Home Ministry to send its views on the terms of reference mentioned in the GoM. He appealed to all parties to utilise the opportunity and urged the opposition parties not to twist the facts and create confusion among the people with regard to the proposed all-party meeting.
