Karimnagar: Telangana Rashtra Samiti, president, K Chandrasekhar Rao flayed the comments on Telangana made by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in New Delhi on Saturday. TRS chief said that the comments reflect foolishness of the chief minister.

Talking to news men, after attending the marriage of a TRS youth wing leader here, “Kiran Reddy’s stand was like playing of an old record. It amounted to insulting the people of the region and hurting their sentiments,” he quipped.

The TRS chief charged the CM with supporting Samaikyandhra, with the sole motive of continuing the ‘loot’ (dopidi) by the Seemandhra leaders. He cited the example of 135 tmc of water being drawn from the Telugu Ganga project, as against the allocation of 19 tmc.

“This is the reason why they want the state stay united,” he asserted. Referring to Kiran Reddy’s statement that Seemandhra would not get its share of water if Telangana was formed, KCR demanded an explanation.

‘Does he mean that the allotted water to the region would not be available?” he demanded an answer. He claimed that the Telangana people were observing restraint; ‘They are capable of showing their power, like Bobbili’. The separatist agitation would be resumed till ‘Sampurna Telangana’ was achieved, he warned.
