On the eve of the GoM meeting scheduled to be held in New Delhi from Tuesday, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao asserted that his party would not merge with the Congress after bifurcation of the state.
Addressing the party training camp conducted for the mandal level party leaders here, he said speculation was rife that the TRS would merge with the Congress after the division of the state, but the party would neither merge with the Congress nor would have alliance with any political party. “TRS will fight the 2014 polls on its own,” he said.
Sources said that in the closed door meeting, KCR told the party leaders not to worry about their political future and asked them to continue their efforts to strengthen the party at village level in all Telangana districts before the election.
