UPA Will Ensure Equal Justice to All Regions, Assures Panabaka, Telangana Bill. Talking to news men, during a tour of her Lok Sabha constituency, the Minister stated that though she is an integrationist, she would vote for the Bill.

The Telangana Bill will be introduced in Parliament during its winter session, Union Minister Panabaka Lakshmi disclosed in Bapatla on Tuesday.
Talking to news men, during a tour of her Lok Sabha constituency, the Minister stated that though she is an integrationist, she would vote for the Bill.
“If a good package is offered, I am ready to accept the state’s division, following which I am sure the Seemandhra region will not affected,” Lakshmi expressed confidence.
She was sure that the Bill could be approved in Parliament if all parties backed it. She asserted that both the UPA government and the Congress Party would ensure equal justice to all regions.
The Minister accused the BJP of adopting double standards and offering conditional support to the Telangana Bill when the Group of Ministers (GoM) was finalising it, after pledging to back it without any terms. She declared that the Congress Party did not need Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The Seemandhra Union Ministers, she said, would meet the GoM on November 18 to declare Hyderabad as a Union Territory. They would also inform Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and AICC president Sonia Gandhi to incorporate the Antony Committee report in the Telangana Bill. If that was not possible the Ministers would press for a unified State.
