For the first time, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand on Wednesday conducted court proceedings under Section of 107 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) in order to prevent frequent communal tensions, unlawful acts and disputes arising between two groups under Uppal and Nacharam police stations limits. He issued bindover orders as well as show-cause notices to the respondents including an MIM corporator and three students each from two groups and directed them to execute a bond for Rs 25,000 each.
The respondents of the first group include Md Azar, 22, Sk Arshad, 25, Sk Nizam and Sk Moin, 22, from Patelnagar in Amberpet. Their counterparts are S Sravan, 19, P Rajesh, 22 and Narsimha, 21, from Ram Reddy Nagar in Ramanthapur. They are degree students. Cases were registered against them as they frequently indulged in unlawful activities and interfered in petty disputes, thus creating law and order problems in Amberpet and Uppal.
Respondents of the second group are Mohd Farukuddin alias Farooquddin, 55, (MIM) Corporator, from Amberpet, Mohd Ayubkhan, 37, Shaik Lathief, 30, Mohd Baba, 35, Shaik Ahmed alias Ameer, 67, Mohd Sonu, 27, and Asam Ali, 31, from Nacharam. Their rivalry group comprises E Rajesh Goud, 45, E Padma Reddy, 47, P Ashok Goud, 34, E Pramod Goud, 35, from Nacharam (v).
The members of the second group had allegedly been engaging in quarrels over a pending issue related to a boundary between religious places of two communities. There was a possibility of recurrence of the issue if it is not settled. There may be likelihood of causing communal disharmony on the same issue, observed the Commissioner.
