Cabinet to Discuss T Bill Today, Telangana Bill, Formation of Telangana. The Congress lately decided on Telangana and accordingly the Draft Bill has been prepared, which goes to the Cabinet slated for Thursday at 5 pm.
New Delhi: The Telangana Bill was cleared by the Group of Ministers (GoM) on Wednesday night. It will go to the Union Cabinet on Thursday. The Telangana Bill, the GoM Report and the Cabinet Note have been finalised by the Group of Ministers (GoM) at the hour-long meeting. The government is trying to expedite the process early, as it is only in the Winter Session that the legislative business can be carried out.
Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said that the Union Cabinet will take up the GoM recommendations on Thursday. The Union Cabinet on October 3 decided on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and decided on the formation of Telangana. It was at that meeting that the decision on setting up the GoM was taken.
