TJAC Calls for Telangana Bandh Today, Government Decision on Rayala-Telangana. Already, the TJAC leaders have met Union Science & Technology Minister S Jaipal Reddy, BJP President Rajnath Singh and CPI General Secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy.

New Delhi: TJAC Chairman Kodandaram on Wednesday called for Telangana Bandh on Thursday, to protest against the Government decision on Rayala-Telangana.


Kodandaram appealed to leaders of all political parties to express solidarity and oppose the decision keeping in mind the commencement of the Winter Session of Parliament on Thursday.


Already, the TJAC leaders have met Union Science & Technology Minister S Jaipal Reddy, BJP President Rajnath Singh and CPI General Secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy.


State Minister Basavarju Saraiah and Poonam Prabhakar also joined the chorus opposing Rayala-Telangana. The Congress leaders contended that in order to avoid making Kurnool the capital of the residuary Andhra Pradesh, Seemandhra Congress leaders have come up with Rayala-Telangana proposal, he said.


He referred to the letter written by Deputy Chief Minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha opposing the decision on Rayala-Telangana tooth and nail. Kodandaram said Rayalaseema has its own history and culture and there was nothing common between Rayalaseema and Telangana. Bringing the two together was not feasible, he said. The TJAC leader demanded that the Government should drop its move forthwith, failing which there would be all-round instability and lead to more turmoil.


The TJAC is only for Telangana with 10 districts and Hyderabad as Capital.
