Vijayamma's fitting reply to CM Kiran on Telangana Bill. Vijayamma said that if there is discussion on Telangana bill, then it means we have accepted the bifurcation. "We are not against debate. If we participate in the discussion. If we take part in a discussion that revolves around things like which place should be made the capital of the new state, it will mean we are game for division. When Bengal was partitioned, they gave a lot of importance to the Assembly resolution."

Yesterday, it was the turn of AP Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to accuse YSRCP and TDP of stalling the proceedings of the AP Assembly during a press meet. Today, it was the turn of YSR Congress Party honorary president YS Vijayamma to give reply to every argument of the CM. Here's a peek into Vijayamma's cool answers amid a stormy session.
It's worth recalling here that Kiran Kumar Reddy appealed to TDP and YSRCP to participate in the discussion on the Telangana Bill in ongoing session of the AP Assembly. "If there is no discussion, they will assume our silence as a green signal to the bifurcation of state. We should allow debate and convey the House opinion to the President or Parliament," the CM had said.
In a reply to CM's statement, Vijayamma said that if there is discussion on Telangana bill, then it means we have accepted the bifurcation. "We are not against debate. If we take part in a discussion that revolves around things like which place should be made the capital of the new state, it will mean we are game for division. When Bengal was partitioned, they gave a lot of importance to the Assembly resolution."
The chief minister had accused YSRCP of giving its consent to the Centre to divide the state as per Article 3 of the Constitution.
Responding to this, Vijayamma said: "They should not misuse Article 3." Vijayamma reiterated that her party's stand in the floor of Assembly saying they will fight for Samikyandhra till the end. It was unfair on the part of CM Kiran and main opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu to skip the Assembly session on the key day when Telangana bill was introduced in the Assembly, she asserted.
In a 5-minute speech to the Assembly amid ruckus from the TRS and TDP MLAs, Vijayamma made it clear that there should be voting on the Bill before the discussion began.

Meanwhile, TDP leader Payyavula Kesav replied that it was not proper to say that Chandrababu was not present in the Assembly as he had been attending all the sessions.

YSRCP MLAs arrested
Just after the suspension from the assembly for one day, the YSRCP MLAs started protesting near Gate No 1 of the state assembly.
All the 15 MLAs including the honourable president of the YSR congress Party have been arrested by the police. They were taken to Gosha Mahal police station.
15 YSRCP MLAs were suspended for a day for obstructing proceedings on the sixth consecutive day.
The YSRCP MLAs stormed the Speaker’s podium and raised slogans demanding that the House adopt a resolution in support of Samikyandhra.
With YSRCP members refusing to heed Speaker Nadendla Manohar's request to let the House transact its business, the session was adjourned. When it reconvened, same scenes repeated. The Speaker had no choice but to suspend the YSRCP members for a day.
Sonia down down adjourns AP Assembly
The Assembly was adjourned for 10 minutes on Thursday amid uproar by the Opposition parties that disrupted the House proceedings.
When it was the turn of Puttaparthi TDP MLA Palle Raghunatha Reddy to express his opinion on the Telangana Bill, he blamed Congress president Sonia Gandhi for the division.
Soon after Palle Raghunatha Reddy made this statement, other TDP members raised slogans of 'Sonia down, Sonia down' which led to a debate and counter arguments from Congress members.
The Speaker repeatedly appealed to the members to allow debate on the Telangana bill. Amidst the slogan-shouting, the Deputy Speaker adjourned it for ten minutes. The TDP MLA also said that development was possible only if the Andhra Pradesh remained united. Divison would widen the gap between brothers, he added.
Hyderabad is not anybody's property, it belongs to everyone, the MLA said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy appealed to the TDP and Congress members to let the House run peacefully and not turn debate into provocative speeches.
