Kurnool: BJP activists staged a dharna near Sri Krishnadevaraya statue in protest against the alleged ‘injustice’ to Seemandhra in the Telangana Bill, here on Friday.
Talking to press persons, Kapileshwaraiah, BJP State Executive member, demanded the Centre to first address the problems of the Seemandhra people, before taking a decision on the State’s division.
He accused the government of creating a rift between the people of the two regions, through its ‘unilateral’ decisions.
He said that the Seemandhra leaders would meet national BJP leadership to highlight the regional concerns on various issues and press for speedy solutions.
