The last rites of veteran actor Anjali Devi' who passed away two days ago will be performed today at Shasank Nagar burial grounds in Chennai. Anjali Devi breathed her last a private hospital in Chennai on Monday following a cardiac arrest.
She was 85 and is survived by two sons. Her body has been kept at her house in Aryampura to allow the public to pay their last respects. Tamil Nadu Governor Konijeti Rosaiah and film personalities paid their respects to the actress.
Film personalities and a large number of fans are expected to bid tearful farewell to one of the earliest stars of the black and white era in South India.
