Congress High command has finally taken a step back and invited Seemandhra MPs for the crucial meet of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
According to reports, two MPs - Lagadapati Rajagopal and G V Harsha Kumar attended the crucial AICC meet which began in Delhi to finalise party's strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
It is a known fact that six Seemndhra MPs - V Arun Kumar, Sabbam Hari, L Rajagopal, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, A Saipratap and G V Harsha Kumar - were denied passes for the AICC meet.
It is being said that the Congress High Command decided to distance the six MPs from the AICC meet as they had moved a no-confidence motion against the UPA government earlier. They also predicted that the MPs would raise slogans during the meet.
Some of the Congress MPs and MLAs from Seemandhra took serious exception and termed the the denial of entry passes as undemocratic.
As expected, the MPs holding placards raised Samikyandhra slogans during the meeting.
PV Narasimha Rao at AICC meet?
P. V. Narasimha Rao, the first South Indian to become Prime Minister of India got some space at the AICC meet. It is a known fact that the Congress has disowned the former prime minister after his demise.
All the PMs have ghats (befitting memorials) in Delhi after their death except for PV. Same situation is witnessed during the birth and death anniversary of PVN. Only one Telugu television channel took an initiative to conduct a programme to remember his services.
Interestingly, today during AICC's crucial meet, PVN's photo appeared.
Wonder what's on Congress mind now!
