The police raided Vijay Vihar and unearthed an illegal sex racket with the arrest of two women and three men. The women belonged to Hyderabad and the men from Podili in Prakasam district.
It is learnt that the prostitutes booked the rooms in different times. A case in this regard was registered with the Nagarjuna Sagar police station.
In a related incident, the city police raided notorious Sitara hotel at LB Nagar and arrested a jewellery shop owner and a junior artist. The police also took a man and a woman into custody this morning, it is learnt. According to reports, a Vijayawada based jewellery shop owner was caught red handed during the raid. The shop owner has been identified as Murali Krishna.
