According to insiders in the Congress party and a a local news channel report, Sattenapalli MLA Yerram Venkateswara Reddy who is a trusted leader met the chief minister at his chamber recently. He is believed to have told CM in no uncertain terms to abandon his plans to launch his own party. There's no scope for any new party to prosper in the present political condition, Sattupalli is supposed to have told Kiran.

The Guntur leader also explained to the CM that although those denied tickets by the YSRCP and TDP were planning to join his new party, there was no guarantee that they would stick on till the elections get over. Sattupalli told CM: "You can defy the Congress High Command for its decision to divide the state, but floating a new party is not a good idea."
Responding positively to Yerram's statements, Kiran Reddy is believed to have said that he would contemplate on it after Januray 23. Now it remains to be seen if the posters on which Kiran's photos have gone missing will put back the CM's picture again!
