After JC Diwakar Reddy, it's now the turn of Rajahmundry MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar to eye the Rajya Sabha seat.
The Rajahmundry MP officially announced that he would contest for the biennial elections as an independent candidate. He is expected to meet several leaders to get support from the Seemandhra MLAs. Vundavalli will contest elections as a Samaikyandhra MP.
It is a known fact that Samaikyandhra protagonists have announced that they are planning to field only one candidate as they do not want to split the Samaikyandhra vote by allowing more than one candidates to contest. JC Diawakar Reddy has already announced that he is in the election fray and has support of 40 MLAs. It now remains to be seen who will be the Samaikyandhra MP.
