Rajya Sabha nomination withdrawal scene hots up

As only a day remains for withdrawing Rajya Sabha nominations, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy began a campaign to make the 'rebels' withdraw from the contest.

Kiran Reddy met MLC KVV Satyanarayana Raju alias Chaitanya Raju and requested him to withdraw his nomination. It is learnt that Chitanya Raju made it clear to the CM that he will not withdraw.

On the other hand, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and KVP Ramachandra Rao were seen persuading MLAs who are backing rebel candidates to withdraw nominations.

Chaitanya Raju and MLA Adala Prabhakar Reddy filed their nominations on Tuesday afternoon and if they do not withdraw from the fray, an election is inevitable on February 7.
