Well-known industrialist and KVP's close relative Kanumuru Raghurama Krishnam Raju was suspended from the YSR Congress Party on Thursday for meeting BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu.

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reportedly took a decision to this effect after some leaders from Narsapuram which is represented by Raghurama, complained against the latter. Raghurama has been suspended from the party activities immediately.

Raghurama who decided to bid adieu to the YSRCP after Jagan refused to give in to his demands, is all set to join the BJP.

His name had been doing the rounds saying he would contest from Narsapuram Lok Sabha constituency on YSRCP ticket.

Speculations were rife that he had demanded that at least one Assembly segment be given to his supporters. It is understood that Jagan did not heed Raghurama Krishnam Raju's proposals. Raghurama distanced himself from the party activities ever since. And rumors spread that he was planning to join the saffron party.

BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu's visit to Raghurama's house had added fuel to fire. It is a known fact that Raghurama had approached the Supreme Court several times opposing the Telangana state. Now, many wonder how can he join a party which is supporting the division?
