TDP MLC Narsa Reddy's election valid: SC

In a major relief to Telugu Desam Party's MLC Narsa Reddy, the Supreme Court on Tuesday declared that his election is valid. Narsa Reddy's name was chosen when a lottery was conducted in the presence of Supreme Court judges.

It may be recalled that Congress leader Venkat Rami Reddy had filed a petition in the High court challenging the election of Narsa Reddy from the constituency. When the Election Commission recounted the votes, the court found that Venkat Rami Reddy had won by a margin of nine votes.
