Telangana: 8 petitions in SC to quash AP reorganisation Bill

As many as eight petitions have been filed against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in the Supreme Court.

Several political leaders and Seemandhra advocates have filed these petitions seeking court intervention for quashing of the Telangana bill on the grounds that it is violative of the principles of federalism and the basic structure of the Constitution.

The Supreme Court is likely to hear these petitions tomorrow. Advocate A Ramesh said that they will put forth detailed arguments on the petitions.
