Danam: Lagadapati joker, buffoon

Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal who is back in the news after his 'pepper spray' episode is drawing flack from all corners of the country. This is with the exception of Seemandhra region where he has turned a hero overnight and also being compared to Bhaghat Singh in the advertisements aired by some news channels.

Meanwhile, leaders from Telangana are busy holding press meets to slam Lagadapati's act. Labour minister Danam Nagender too has joined the list.

Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, Danam said Lagadapati was behaving like a buffoon and Congress party should not give tickets to such leaders.

"Congress party has created a problem by giving tickets to leaders like Lagadapati who has resorted to opportunist politics," he opined.

The Vijayawada MP has been trying to tame the Congress party by making a mockery of the democracy, he added.

Lagadapati and other leaders are planning to float their own party which is why they are harming the reputation of the Congress party, Danam asserted.

Danam also took potshots at Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy saying his behavior is also not good and his statements referring to Prime minister Manmohan Singh is wrong.

"We will request the Speaker to take strict action against Lagadapati for attacking Parliamentarians," he asserted.
